CBD vapes and quitting smoking - your questions answered

CBD vapes and quitting smoking - your questions answered

Have you made the decision to quit smoking? Or thinking about cutting down your nicotine intake? Vaping CBD could aid you in this. We have put together the questions we get asked most often from customers looking to move on from smoking and create healthier habits, for the long-term.

Can vaping CBD e-liquid get you high?

We get asked this a lot. And no, CBD will not get you high. Currently, in the UK, the strains of hemp that are used to extract CBD oil contain a maximum legal limit of 0.2% THC - the psychoactive element of cannabis. CBD has many amazing qualities like aiding pain relief and relaxation but getting you ‘high’ is not one of them.

Do CBD vapes contain nicotine?

The vapes and e-liquids we sell are free from nicotine. However, not all on the market are so be sure to check.

How can CBD vapes help me quit smoking?

Giving up smoking is no easy task, with many people attempting up to 30 times before it sticks. Many people move from cigarettes to vapes as they are seen as a healthier alternative. However, nicotine is the addictive element in cigarettes so if you just move onto a vape that contains nicotine the habit will likely stick.

Vaping CBD rather than nicotine is a healthier alternative and can be a natural steppingstone to giving up altogether. For many, they are a good crutch for taking that leap.

There are an abundance of health benefits of taking CBD, (which can be read about elsewhere on our site) but the most helpful for quitting smoking are:

  • CBD vapes can be a good aid with reducing cravings.
  • They can also relieve the stress and irritability that comes with the process of quitting smoking.

Why would I choose a vape over a CBD oil?

If you are not a smoker or vaper already, we suggest trying different methods of delivery before picking up a vape for the first time.

Other than aiding quitting smoking, we tend to recommend vapes when someone has very acute anxiety or sudden severe pain, and they need instant relief. This is because inhaling CBD is the fastest way for the body to absorb it. Therefore, it is great for someone that has anxiety attacks or, if in the process of quitting smoking, is used to gain instant relief from stresses, where they would usually turn to nicotine.

We usually recommend accompanying a vape with a CBD oil that is taken orally. The oil for prolonged use morning and night, then the vape can be taken on-the-go ready for an instant boost or 'hit' if and when it is needed.

Is CBD addictive?

In short – no. CBD is a non-addictive chemical compound found in the hemp plant. The body cannot build a high tolerance to CBD, and it is also a non-intoxicating substance. The substance in the cannabis or marijuana plant that has addictive properties is THC not CBD.

Do they taste or smell like weed?

No! We have a variety of flavours to suit individual taste preferences from fresh citrus to crisp mint.

How do they work - can I use CBD with my own vape pen?

We stock a mixture of devices and e-liquids, for you to choose from depending on your preference.

  • E-liquids that can be used like any other e-liquid, dispensed into your own vape device
  • Pod system vapes with interchangeable disposable cartridges
  • All-in-one vape pens

How much CBD should I take?

Dosage frequency and amounts are at the user’s discretion, with a maximum daily dose recommendation of 70mg of CBD. New users are encouraged to start low and go slow, leaving long breaks in between puffs.

Ensure to check the strength of your vape - it will be shown in mg.
